Things I've been loving in 2015.

It's the middle of January and I'm thinking that it's also about the time I'd tell you a little something about my 2015 favorites. There's quite a few things I wanna talk about so let's just get to it, shall we?!

Let's start with the beauty stuff.
I definitely have to mention Rimmed Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation that I've been using for the whole year, basically every day. It's just that good! It's not really "liquidy" so it's easy to apply, it covers all my spots very well and it lasts for the whole day easily. I actually got to try two shades before I found the perfect one matching my skin color so I can tell, even though I'm not very in favour of that, it would probably be perfect for contouring. And at the top of all that, it's not very expensive so it's totally affordable.

Another beauty favorite is a bronzer, specifically Essence Sun Club Blondes. It's not expensive and it last very long. I bought one maybe even more than a year ago and I still haven't run out. You don't need to use much of it and it gives you a very nice color without looking unnatural. It also has quite a range of shades so there's always the perfect one for you skin tone.

Next thing is my all-time favorite mascara. I'd gone through so many before I found the perfect one. And it's NYC Big Bold 24H Mascara. The applicator is just perfect!

My next beauty favorite is an eyeshadow palette 'Love is a story' by Zoeva. With confidence I can tell that it's definitely the best beauty thing I own right now. It has such a chic and sophisticated color range. It's inspired by the make-up of the early '60s and movie stars with the classic color variety of brown, teal, violett and grey. The nude/brown shadows together with the shimmery bronze one are perfect for every day look and I've been definitely using those ones the most, but violett and teal tones are really great for the night out. You'll be the star of the party! And the palette itself looks really cute. And it won't ruin your wallet neither.

My favorite lipstick of 2015 was Maybelline New York Color Sensation in shade 422 Coral Tonic. It's such a vibrant color and I just love wearing it so much. Coral is one of my favorite colors so this lipstick was a must have for me, for sure. And it lasts really long!

Then there are two perfumes: Roberto Cavalli's Just with a nice sweet fragrance and Jimmy Choo's Exotic (the name says it all!). I just love wearing them. And my girlfriend loves them on me... That's basically all I have to say.

Moving on to bath stuff, there are two things I've been using that I just love and wanna mention them here.
First is Shivon Soap. I won't say much about it here because I've already wrote about it in this article so go give it a quick read to find out more. Now I just say that it's the best soap I've ever used in a bath. And it's 100% natural. And handmade. And Irish! What else could you need?!

Second thing is from Oriflame, from their 'Discover' line of bath products, and it's 'Parisian Delight' body scrub. And it smells like lavender! My skin has never been better, seriously! I feel always so fresh, getting out from the shower after using this. It just smells like heaven, reminds me of holiday in Provence.

Now, let's move on to some fashion pieces.
Definitely have to mention Fashion Code Clutch from Zara that I just love. It's quite small and perfect for a little runs around the town. It's just for a wallet, a phone and a few necessary bits and pieces. And it's so chic!

Next on the list is Keith Harkin Anchor Hat that I got in grey color, though I definitely will be buying it in some different colors too in the future because I just love it so much. It's basically adjustable, snap back baseball cap with moisture absorbing sweatband inside. I just love that nautical vibe it has thanks to that cute picture of an anchor and a little braid up front. And it freaking came signed by Keith Harkin! Duh! Best thing ever! Go to see this article to find out more about Harkin Headquarters and who's behind it and stuff.

Moving on to the next famous guy: Adam Levine. I managed to get my hands on three things from his fashion collection: cropped shirt in a Hawaiian style, stripped black and white pencil skirt and the third thing which I'm putting into my favorites is this cute cross necklace that I've been wearing basically the whole summer. It has kinda boohoo vibe to it so it's just perfect for the summer. But is looks damn good with fancy dress too.

Now I wanna mention the brand called Aeropostale. I found them when I was looking for a new watch to buy. And oh my... The watch they have! So so so beautiful! I almost bought all of them because I just couldn't decide which one to choose. In the end I went with white-gold one with a cute flower detail. And I also got and alphabetic rings set and a cool ear cuff.

I'd also like to mention this Marks & Spencer ankle shoes. I bought them for my trip to Ireland and they are just perfect. I love the color, the fact that they are actually slip-ons, and they are so comfortable. They were great for walking the streets of Dublin as well as the four-hour walk along the coast on muddy/rocky paths. And they are NOT that expensive!

Talking about fashion, I feel like I should mention a brand called Beautiful Halo that I got to meet quite closely in 2015. And there's no words to describe how much I love it and the people who stand behind it. Guys, check them out! They are not expensive and they have amazing stuff!

Now, interior-wise, there's one thing I'd like to mention. And it's an IKEA candle called SINNLIG. It's in a little cute glass, it's red and it smells like strawberries. And I just love that smell! Seriously, if you're planning to visit your local IKEA, don't leave without this candle. If you're not very fond of strawberries, they have this candle in many other colors/smells. I also got an orange one and a green apple one. And they're all amazing.

Moving on to some random bits and pieces I've been loving in 2015.
My favorite book was definitely Jeremy Clarkson's 'The Top Gear Years' which is just hilarious! I love his humor so much! Though, I've got to say... Maybe not the best thing to read on a subway... For some reason, people stare when you laugh that much!

Next thing is Kayla Itsines' Bikini Body Guide that I've been using the whole summer. And it worked! And I actually really enjoyed it. I wrote about it in this article so if you wanna know more, go read it. I really got into a better shape just after two months of using it. Now I'm getting back to it because... You know, Christmas!

Also, concerning my workout, I have to mention New Yorker's line of active wear.
They had really amazing stuff in 2015. Especially sport bras - very well adjustable, front closure, comfortable, in great vibrant colors. Perfect for jogging and all kinds of working out (I wore it for my first crossfit lesson).

Favorite thing to watch? Definitely Zoella! Obviously, I watched her vlogmas and 24 days of Zoella and I absolutely loved it. It totally got me into the holiday spirit. But I've been watching her a lot during the whole year. Platonically in love with her, duh! I've been also watching Tanya Burr and SACCONEJOLYs a lot, but Zoella is still my all-time favorite youtuber.

I also have to mention new Star Wars movie which I'd been excited to see for a long time. And I just loved it so freaking much! Though, I'm still not even Han Solo's death.

Favorite music.
Well, well... We all know what I'm gonna say now... A few months into 2015 I discovered Celtic Thunder and absolutely, totally, 100% fell in love with their music. They've made me find the passion for Irish music and I'm oh so grateful to them for that. After just a few weeks of listening to them I'd set a goal to visit Ireland. And I did. All in one year. 2015 was a great year! So to finish this article I have to say: Ireland, Dublin, is definitely the best place I've ever visited. I had a great time and I'm definitely going back there in the future. Read more about my trip here.

And to wrap this up, I'm gonna send a big THANK YOU to my girlfriend for being by my side in 2015 and supporting me in everything I was doing even though it wasn't always easy. I couldn't asks for a better person to share my life with. I love you! xxx

After months of planning, waiting and excitement the big day has finally arrived. Thursday, 19^th November, and I’m getting up pretty early as there are so many things I still need to do, plan, organize and most importantly put into my suitcase. I’ve already put there the majority of my clothes last night but as I’m really worried there might be something missing, I still need to go through everything at least three times.

At ten o’clock I have just one hour before leaving home to catch a bus to Pilsen and I’ve already unpacked and packed again my whole suitcase twice and still have the feeling like I’m forgetting something. I check the most important things that I just can’t go without and that’ll do.

And off I go to catch the bus. The weather’s not ideal, no signs of sun, black clouds on the horizon, wind that probably scares me the most because of the flight, and rain every now and then. Apart from that everything goes smoothly. When I’m arriving at the bus station in Pilsen, my best friend Šárka is already waiting on me. We put our suitcases into the bus, find our seats and say goodbye to Pilsen. During the one hour journey to Prague we realize we have very similar things in our suitcases and we probably didn’t forget anything important.

There’s a rainbow over Prague which definitely seems like a good sign.

Half past twelve we’re arriving at the Prague airport. I’m a little nervous about the check-in as this is the first time I don’t have the plane tickets arranged by the travel agency but I reserved them online by myself. But everything goes well. We find our check-in terminal in just a few minutes, wait in a short queue, hand in the passport or ID, say goodbye to our suitcases and receive boarding passes so we are free to go inside the airport.

After a little snack we’re exploring the shops and a bit later we’re admiring our plane – in Irish style, green with a big shamrock.

When we’re boarding the plane, we hear English more than Czech language, ever from the crew, of course, as we’re flying with the national flag carrier airline of Ireland Aer Lingus. The fact that this airline is ranked as one of the safest airlines in the world is really soothing. We hope that Irish luck is on our side. The crew is really nice, the stewardess never misses the opportunity to give us a kind smile and we’re sitting down, feeling nervous but very excited at the same time.

A few minutes to half past three the plane’s already going to runway and we’re leaving the ground a few minutes ahead of a schedule which makes us happy as we want to be in Dublin as soon as possible. We decide to ignore the announcement of the captain about the possibility of headwind and turbulence, we won’t let it make us nervous and we just enjoy the sun in the window as we rise above the clouds.

I’m very proud of Šárka for overcoming the fear and nervousness from her first flight ever and being as amazing as she was during the whole time in the air.

A few minutes to five, Irish time, we can already see the banks of Ireland and as we slowly going down to land, we get our first sight of Dublin. I feel like crying. It’s dark already and there’s so many lights down there. We can see the docks and the river Liffey flowing through the whole city. In the distance there’s Dublin Castle in the spotlights and all those beautiful places we want to visit. And in that moment I realize that my dream’s come true. That everything’s worked out and we’re really here.

We’re landing on time, quarter past five, and after two and a half hour of sitting in the seat it’s really nice to be up and walking again. We get out from the plane and our adventure begins.

Po měsících plánování, očekávání a natěšenosti přišel konečně den D, čtvrtek 19. listopadu, a já vstávám brzy, protože mám ještě tolik věcí, které je třeba udělat, naplánovat, zorganizovat a hlavně naházet do kufru. Většinu oblečení už jsem zabalila předešlý večer, ale kvůli obávám, že mi něco bude chybět, musím ještě vše minimálně třikrát zkontrolovat.
V deset hodin, když už mi zbývá jen jedna hodina do odchodu z domu, abych chytla autobus do Plzně, už mám za sebou dvakrát vybalení a sbalení celého kufru a pocit, že něco nemám stále přetrvává. Musím se spokojit s tím že naposledy zkontroluji ty nejdůležitější věci, bez kterých nemůžu jet, a začnu se připravovat k odchodu.

A už běžím na autobus. Počasí není ideální, po slunci nejsou ani památky, černé mraky na obzoru, vítr, který mě kvůli letu děsí nejvíc, chvilkami poprchává. Jinak ale vše jde tak, jak bych si představovala, a když pár minut před polednem přicházím na autobusové nádraží, Šárka už tam na mě čeká. Hodíme kufry do autobusu, najdeme naše sedadla a už se loučíme s Plzní. Během hodinové cesty do Prahy společně zjišťujeme, že máme v kufrech hodně podobné "vybavení" a že nám s největší pravděpodobností nic důležitého nechybí.
Na Zličíně se na chvíli roztrhnou mraky a objeví se duha, což bereme jako dobré znamení.
V půl jedné už vystupujeme z autobusu na pražském letišti. Z odbavování jsem trochu nervózní, protože tohle je poprvé, co nemám zařízené letenky od cestovní kanceláře, ale vše jsem rezervovala sama přes internet. Vše jde ale jako po másle. Náš odbavovací terminál najdeme během pár minut, vystojíme krátkou frontu a stačí předložit pas nebo občanku, rozloučit se s našimi kufry, které se bez problémů vejdou do 20kilového limitu, a už dostáváme boarding pass a můžeme projít kontrolou do vnitřních prostorů letiště.
Dáváme si malou svačinu a pak se procházíme po obchodech a později obdivujeme letadlo, kterým poletíme - v irském stylu, zelené, s obrovským trojlístkem. 

Když do něj nasekáme, slyšíme víc angličtinu, než češtinu, a to samozřejmě i od posádky, jelikož letíme s irskou národní společností Aer Lingus. Fakt, že tato společnost je označována jako jedna z nejbezpečnějších na světě, nás hodně uklidňuje. Věříme, že máme irské štěstí na své straně. Posádka letadla je moc příjemná, letuška nevynechá ani jednu příležitost věnovat nám přátelský úsměv a my se usazujeme na svých sedadlech s pocitem nervozity, ale obrovské natěšenosti zároveň.

Před půl čtvrtou už jedeme na vzletovou plochu a do vzduchu jdeme o pár minut dříve, než bylo v plánu, z čehož máme radost, protože chceme být v Dublinu co nejdříve. Zprávu kapitána o protivětru a možnosti turbulencí se snažíme nevnímat a nenechat se jí rozhodit a užíváme si sluníčko, které nám praží do okýnka, když vyletíme nad mraky.
Jsem obrovsky pyšná na Šáry, že i přes velký strach a nervozitu ze svého prvního letu, vše zvládla naprosto bravurně.

Pár minut před pátou hodinou irského času, už pod sebou vidíme břehy Irska, a když pomalu klesáme na přistání, naskytne se nám první pohled na Dublin. Mám pocit, jako kdybych se měla každou chvíli rozbrečet. Dole už je tma a všude je tolik světel. Vidíme přístav a řeku Liffey, která protéká přes celé město. V dálce vidíme osvícený Dublinský hrad a všechna ta krásná místa, kam se chceme podívat. A v tu chvíli mi dojde, že jsem si splnila svůj sen. Že nám to všechno vyšlo a že jsme opravdu tady.
Přistáváme přesně na čas, tedy ve čtvrt na šest, po dvou a půl hodině na sedadle, je fajn být zase na nohou. Vystupujeme z letadla a naše dobrodružství začíná.

Trip to Dublin: 03. Creating a Custom Travel Map.

Plánovaní naší cesty je v plném proudu. S každým dalším dnem se těšíme víc a víc. Říjen bychom nejraději přeskočily. Už aby byl listopad. A devatenáctého. A my byly na cestě!

Objevila jsem na internetu úžasnou věc. Přesněji tedy na Googlu. Ten celkem nedávno vylepšil své mapy o funkci Moje mapy, díky které si můžete super jednoduše a rychle vytvořit vlastní mapu, vyznačit na ní místa, kam se chcete podívat, přidat fotky, poznámky... Prostě všechno, co by se vám mohlo při vaší cestě hodit.
Jsem z toho nadšená. Nevím, jak jsem bez toho do teď mohla přežít.
Pokusím se vám trochu vysvětlit jak na to, i když si myslím, že je to tak jednoduché, že byste to zvládli bez jakékoli pomoci.

Trip to Dublin: 02. Plane Tickets.

Po rezervaci hotelu byla rezervace letenek tou druhou nejdůležitější věcí. Protože jsme věděly, že jakmile budeme mít zajištěné tyto dvě věci, bude jasné (a stoprocentní), že tam prostě odjedeme. Proto jsme s koupí letenek neotálely.
V dnešní době není nikterak těžké najít na internetu stránky, které vám najdou nejlevnější variantu toho, jak se dostat prakticky kamkoli po celém světě. Pokud jde o leteckou dopravu jedná se například o skyscanner.cz, letenky.cz nebo letuska.cz. Je otázkou chvilky zajít na jeden z těchto serverů, zadat potřebné údaje a během několika sekund vybírat s široké nabídky letů šitých přímo vám na míru.
My jsem k samotné rezervaci využívaly právě skyscanner a jsme s ním nadmíru spokojené. Avšak při počátečním vyhledávání všech možností jsme vyzkoušely všechny zmíněné servery a musím říct, že jsme nikde nenašly žádnou velkou funkční vadu, všechny fungují v podstatě podobně a více méně nám nabídly i stejně výsledky. Takže je vcelku jedno, který si zvolíte.
Na skyscanner bylo vše jednoduché, rychlé a přehledné.

The two most important things to do was to make a reservation for the hotel room and plain tickets. Because it was obvious that as soon as we have these two things, we'll be 100% sure we're going. So we didn't wait long before buying plane tickets.
These days it's not difficult to find a web sites where you can go to look for the cheapest way how to get anywhere in the world. Considering mainly the flying, it can be for example skyscanner.cz, letenky.cz or letuska.cz. It's the matter of minutes to go to one of these servers, put the important information in and just in a few seconds go through the wide range of flights.
We were using skyscanner for the reservation and we can't complain. However we tried all the servers mentioned above and they all work very well. They are also quite similar so it doesn't even matter which one you choose.
Skyscanner is simple, fast, user friendly and well-arranged.

My jsme z časových důvodů nezvolily tu nejlevnější možnost, tedy letět z nejlevnější společností na trhu - Ryanair, ale vybraly jsme si irskou národní leteckou společnost Aer Lingus, protože slibuje, že bychom byly v Dublinu už v půl šesté a stihly tak ještě něco málo obejít. :)

Stačí si vybrat příslušný let z nabídky a ve většině případů (i v tom našem) vás to odkáže přímo na servery jednotlivých společností, kde pak můžete pokračovat samotnou rezervací a koupí letenek.

ALE POZOR!

Samozřejmě, že ty nízké ceny u letenek vypadají víc než dobře, to je jasné. My jsme byly prvotně také překvapené, jak levně se dá letět. Ale konkrétně u těchto nízko-nákladových společností, jakými jsou právě Ryanair a Aer Lingus, musíte ještě hodně věcí připlácet, takže částka uvedená u nabídek na serverech jako je skyscanner rozhodně není konečná. čtete dál

We didn't actually choose the cheapest option - the cheapest company Ryanair, but we went for national flag carrier airline of Ireland - Aer Lingus, because we were promised to get to Ireland around 5.30 pm so we'd be able to actually see something in the evening.

All you have to do is choose the flight and in most of the cases, you go straight to the airline server where you can go on with the reservation and buying the tickets.

ONE IMPORTANT THING!

Clearly the low prices looks so good! We were actually surprised how cheap it can be to fly to Ireland. BUT!! Especially with these low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair and Aer Lingus, you have to pay for a couple of "extras" so in the end you'll pay a bit more than you can see as a price on servers like skyscanner. read below

Vybraly jsme si tedy let, který nám vyhovoval a byly jsme přesměrovány na internetové stránky Aer Lingus. A tam jsme se docela potrápily. Proto také sepisuji tenhle článek, abyste věděli, co a jak a vyvarovali se některých chyb, které my jsme tedy udělaly, ale naštěstí se vše vyřešilo a dobře to dopadlo. (Když tohle píši, už mám na e-mailu potvrzení o tom, že skutečně letíme.)

So we've chosen the flight and went to Aer Lingus web sites. And it wasn't easy there, trust me! That's why I'm writing this so you'll know what to be aware of and won't do the same mistakes as we did. Luckily the mistakes we did could have been quite easily repaired and all ended well. (As I'm writing this I've already received an e-mail confirmation about our plane tickets. We're flying!)

Samotným procesem rezervace jsme musely projít dvakrát. Poprvé poté, co jsme navolily všechny možnosti a zadaly všechny údaje, včetně těch platebních, odpovědí nám byla chyba systému. Což nás nemálo vyděsilo právě proto, že jsme už vyplnily údaje o kreditní kartě a tak podobně. Bály jsme se problému, že by nám byly z účtu stržené peníze a letenky bychom neobdržely, jelikož jsme samotnou rezervaci ani v závěru nepotvrdily.

Proto jsme se okamžitě obrátily na zástupce společnosti v České Republice, kteří vyřizují právě registrace letenek (jsou prakticky v každém státě EU, takže se nemusíte bát jakýchkoli jazykových překážek). Téměř nás překvapilo, jak moc nápomocní byli. Odpověděli hned obratem, vysvětlili, že se pravděpodobně jedná o problém s připojením k serveru pojišťovny, jelikož jsme si k letenkám navolily i cestovní připojištění. Ujistili nás, že o peníze nepřijdeme, a poté, co jsme jim zaslaly informace o naší rezervaci, ujistili se, že opravdu neproběhla. Omluvili se nám za způsobené komplikace a poprosili nás, abychom rezervaci provedly ještě jednou, tentokrát bez pojištění. Což bylo to nejmenší. Pojištění se dá vždy sehnat zvlášť, v tom nebyl žádný problém.

Napodruhé už rezervace proběhla bez problému a bylo vyřízeno.

We had to go twice through the actual process of reservation. The first time, after we'd chosen all the possibilities and fill out all the information, including the ones about paying, we ended up with the system error. Which scared us a bit as we've already filled out the info about the credit card. We were worried that we're gonna lose the money without receiving the actual plane tickets.

So right away we contacted the airlines' reservations representatives for Czech Republic (the airlines have representatives in almost every country of EU so don't worry about the language barriers). We were almost surprised how helpful they were. They replied right away and explained that the error is probably due to the bad connection to the server of the insurance company as we'd actually chosen to have an insurance with the tickets. They reassured us that we definitely won't lose the money and after we sent them the information about our reservation, they made sure that it really hadn't been made and confirmed. They apologized and asked us to make the reservation again, this time without the insurance. Which wasn't a problem for us.

The second time, everything went smoothly.

Teď k těm "extra" poplatkům. Jedná se zejména o poplatek za zavazadlo k odbavení. Můžete si zvolit jeho velikost, a tím se samozřejmě mění i cena (čím větší, tím dražší). My jsme volily klasické do 20 kg, což bylo kolem 500,- za jeden let (500,- tam a 500,- zpátky). Pak také platíte poměrně malý obnos za to, že si sami vyberete, kde chcete v letadle sedět. Opět jsou asi tři cenové možnosti; sedadla blíž dveřím jsou trochu dražší, stejně tak sedadla, která mají větší prostor pro nohy. Za "normální" sedadla někde uprostřed letadla jsme platily asi 120,--.

Jsou dvě možnosti, jak se s těmito poplatky vypořádat. Buď si hned v prvním kroku rezervace "upgradujete" status letu, což znamená, že letenky budou asi o 1.000,-- dražší, ale poplatky za kufr a výběr "normálního" sedadla  již budou v této ceně započítané, nebo si necháte let na nejnižším statusu a později si tyto poplatky naklikáte zvlášť.

My jsme si vlastně vyzkoušely obě možnosti a jde prakticky jen o to, že první možnost vám ušetří trochu času a klikání, jinak cenově to vyjde úplně stejně.

Now about the "extra" fees. The most important one is for the check-in bag. You can chose the size which is connected to the price, of course (the bigger, the more expensive). We've chosen the one up to 20 kg which was around 500 Kč/19 EUR for one flight (500,- there and 500,- back). Then you have to pay a little something for choosing where you wanna sit. Again you have more possibilities; the seats closer to the exit are more expensive as well as the seats with more space for your legs. "Normal" seats somewhere in the middle of the plane cost around 120 Kč/5 EUR.

There are two possibilities how to deal with these fees. Either you can upgrade the flight status in the first step of the reservation, which means that the price will be proximately 1.000 Kč/37 EUR higher but the fees for the check-in bag and "normal" seat are already included, or you stay on the lowest flight status and add the fees later on.

We actually tried the both ways and the only difference is that the first way saves you a bit of time and clicking; financially it's the same.

Pak už jenom počkáte, až vám e-mailem přijde potvrzení, které pak slouží i jako samotné letenky, takže si nesmíte zapomenout udělat někam poznámku, abyste si to včas vytiskly (což bych asi taky měla udělat). A nezbývá než se těšit na cestu! :)

Už jsem doma dostala úkoly, co mám přivést. Brácha si řekl o Irskou whiskey a táta si řekla o "hodně dárečků". A se Šáry už jsme do našeho programu kromě památek Dublinu a výletu k majáku na pobřeží přidaly i návštěvu Primarku. Konec konců jedeme tam měsíc před Vánoci. :)

I've already got some requests what to bring from Ireland. My brother wants Irish whiskey and my dad asked me for "a lot of presents". And we've already put Primark into our programme. After all we're going there just a month before Christmas. :)

Trip to Dublin: 01. Hotel Reservation

Pokud nás sledujete na Facebooku (pokud ne tak honem, s chutí do toho: tady), pravděpodobně jste již zaregistrovali, že se chystám na "trip" do Dublinu. Také jste si mohli všimnout hashtagu #BestFriendsTravel. Chystám se tam totiž se svou nejlepší kamarádkou. A možná proto se tam tolik těším. Poprvé vyjedu za hranice našeho malého státu bez rodičů, a budu moct jít tam, kam budu chtít, budu moct dělat to, co si sama neplánuji.
Samozřejmě je to o to větší odpovědnost, ale jelikož už minulou dovolenou s rodiči do Francie jsem tátovi z velké části pomohla naplánovat a zorganizovat, tak se toho nebojím a jdu do toho s chutí. My to zvládneme!

If you're following us on facebook (if you're not, you definitely should: here), you've probably noticed I'm going to do a trip to Dublin. You also could notice the hashtag #BestFriendsTravel. I'm going there with my best friend. And maybe that's why I'm so excited about that. The first time I'm going over the borders of our little country without my parents and I'll be able to go wherever I wanna go, will be able to do whatever I'll plan for myself.

Of course, it brings more weight to my shoulders but I already helped my dad a lot with planning and arranging for our last holiday to France, so I'm not afraid and I have a motivation. Let's do this!

Jet do Irska jsem chtěla už dlouho. A je jasné, že když jsem začala poslouchat moje Irské chlapce z Celtic Thunder, tak se tahle touha ještě zvětšila.
Ale chvíle, kdy jsem o tom opravdu začala vážně uvažovat, že už je tedy na čase začít tento sen realizovat, přišla někdy v polovině tohoto léta, kdy mi přišla první výplata z brigády. Přemýšlela jsem co s penězi. Nechtěla jsem je utratit za "blbosti", ale chtěla jsem je spíše investovat do něčeho opravdu hodnotného, do něčeho, z čeho budu mít opravdu radost, a co mi třeba i zůstane do konce života... Tedy do zážitku. A samozřejmě mě jako první napadlo právě Irsko.

Během chvíle jsem na internetu zkoukla, jestli je to s mojí letní brigádou vůbec finančně možné a zjistila jsem, že takový prodloužený víkend v Dublinu rozhodně vaší (ale hlavně tedy tu moji věčně prázdnou) peněženku nezruinuje.
Pak přišel druhý krok... Přeci tam nepojedu sama. A jelikož jsem si hned vzpomněla, jak jsme se Šáry kdysi mluvily o tom, že bychom se do Irska obě chtěly podívat, bylo jasné, že ji musím hned napsat.
Jak jsem jí již několikrát řekla, moc dobře vím, proč právě ona je má nejlepší kamarádka, protože samozřejmě byla z mého návrhu hned nadšená a souhlasila, že pokud jí to finance dovolí, určitě pojedeme. Zatím to tedy nebyl žádný závazný plán... Vlastně to tedy nebyl vůbec žádný plán, ale naděje byla.

I've wanted to go to Ireland for a long time already. And it's obvious that when I started listening to my Irish boys from Celtic Thunder, the desire's become even bigger.

But the moment when I really started thinking that it's about the time to start realizing this dream of mine, came around the middle of this summer when I received the first paycheck from my summer job. I though about what to do with the money. I didn't want to spend them on "something useless", I rather wanted to invest them into something really meaningful, something I'll be really thrilled about, something that maybe stays with me for the rest of my life... The experience. And of course, the first thing that came to my mind was Ireland.

Quickly I checked the Internet to find out if it's actually financially possible to go with the money from my summer job and I realized that a longer weekend in Dublin definitely won't ruin your (and especially my always empty) wallet.

Then the next step came... I won't go alone. And I remembered how me and my best friend talked about how we both wanna go to Ireland and it was obvious that I just had to write her to ask.

I've already told her a few times that I know very well why she's my best friend, because of course she was thrilled about my offer and agreed that if her financial situation allows, we'll definitely go. So far it wasn't exactly the plan... But it was hope.

Asi týden zpátky se ale věci daly do pohybu. Šáry nadhodila datum, kdy by jí mohli dát v práci volno. A finance také nepředstavovaly žádný problém. Rychle jsem obešla "cestovatelské stránky" (o kterých vám samozřejmě také povím), abych zjistila dostupnost, a světě div se, zjistila jsem, že v listopadu nás to vyjde ještě trochu levněji, než s čím jsme původně počítaly, a to jak hotel, tak letenky. Z toho jsme samozřejmě byly nadšené a domluvily jsme se, že jakmile nám na účtech přistanou srpnové výplaty, alespoň něco si zajistíme, abychom měly nějakou jistotu.
A výplata přišla prakticky druhý den, takže jsem hned "běžela" a zarezervoval hotelový pokoj. Ten měl před letenkami přednost, protože ten jeden levný hotel v centru Dublinu, který jsme měly vyhlídnutý, hlásil na náš víkend poslední dva volné pokoje. A jelikož na stránce, kterou jsem k rezervaci využívala, je všechno ohromně jednoduché a rychlé, během chvilky jsem na emailu měla potvrzení o rezervaci a uhrazení tří nocí v hotelu Leeson Inn Downtown v centru Dublinu, a navíc v pokoji s výhledem na město. A nadšením jsem skoro nemohla dýchat.

About a week ago the things started moving. My best friend came up with a date when she's supposed to have a day off from the work. And money wasn't a problem anymore either. Quickly I checked the "travelling sites" (which I'm gonna tell you about, of course) to find out if everything is still available and, surprise surprise, I realised that in November it's gonna be even cheaper (both, the hotel and the plane tickets) than we'd been expecting. Naturally we were thrilled about that and we agreed that as soon as we have the August paychecks on our accounts, we'll pay for at least one thing so we can have some certainty.

And the paycheck came practically the very next day so I basically "ran" to book a hotel room. It was the priority as the one cheap hotel in the center of Dublin we were planning to stay in had the last two free rooms for our weekend. And because the reservation through the site I was using was super simple and quick, just in a moment I received the mail with confirmation of reservation and paying for three nights in the hotel Leeson Inn Downtown in the center of Dublin, and at top of that in the room with the view of the city. And I almost couldn't breath from excitement.
